Upcoming Rate Hearing Matters Update

As noted in our previous post, the CDI was to submit direct testimony regarding its position on the variance requests made by Explorer Insurance Company.   This has been done and cross-examination of the CDI witness will take place this Friday at 10:00 am at the CDI AHB in San Francisco for anyone that might be interested.  The AHB is on the 22nd Floor at the CDI which is located at 45 Fremont Street.

Further, a hearing on the CDI's and Intervenor's motions to strike the applicant insurer's pre-filed direct testimony in the Matter of GeoVera Insurance Company will take place on Monday at 2:oo pm at the AHB in San Francisco.   GeoVera Insurance Company's rate application is apparently the first that will go to an evidentiary hearing that deals with earthquake. 

(Because these are ongoing matters that our office is handling, I will not be discussing my views on these matters other than report that they are taking place.)
